  Alabama vs. Tulane Tulane was no match for the Tide in Mobile, and gave up 36 points to the Tide after holding them scoreless in the first in this 36-6 Bama victory. In the second, David Ray would hit a 22 yard field goal, and Joe Namath would score on a 1 yard touchdown run. In the third, Ray would hit a 33 yard field goal, and Namath would throw a 33 yard touchdown pass to Ray. In the fourth, Frank Canterbury would score on a 5 yard touchdown run, and Namath would visit the end zone again on a 1 yard touchdown run to close the game's scoring. For the second week in a row the Tide's defense allowed less than 200 yards of total offense in only allowing the Green Wave 111 yards of total offense in the game. The 1964 squad finished 10-1, as SEC champions, as national champions, and with an appearance in the Orange Bowl for Coach Bryant.
