  Alabama vs. Florida Alabama dominated the game on the ground with 286 rushing yards to only 41 by Florida and that paved the way for a 46-15 victory. Neb Hayden started off the scoring with a 1 yard quarterback sneak, and Richard Ciemny kicked a 33 yard field goal to give Alabama a 10-0 first quarter lead. After a Florida score David Brungard scored on a 15 yard pass from Scott Hunter to give Alabama a 17-7 halftime advantage. In the second half Hayden connected with Griff Langston on a 10 yard pass, and in the forth quarter it was all Alabama's game scoring 22 points. Those points came on a 6 yard Johnny Musso run, a 1 yard run by George, a 3 yard run by Buddy Seay, and a 13 yard run by Quarterback Terry Davis. The 1970 squad finished with a record of 6-5-1 along with a tie in the Bluebonnet Bowl for coach Bryant.
