Alabama vs.LSU

  Date: 9/27/1952
  Score: 21-20
Alabama vs. LSU In a Baton Rouge thriller the Crimson Tide pulled out the victory over the Tigers 21-20. Alabama began the scoring on a 2 yard run by Bobby Luna (who also kicked the extra point). After LSU tied it up Bob Conway took the ensuing kick off and ran it back 95 yards for a touchdown to give Alabama the lead once again. LSU came back strong scoring another touchdown but the blocked extra point kept the lead on Alabama's side. This didn't stop the Bengals from taking the lead back however as they stormed down the field for another touchdown to take the lead 20-14. Late in the game however Luna capped a strong Alabama drive scoring a 3 yard touchdown and with the converted extra point gave UA the victory. The 1952 squad finished the season with a record of 10-2 and a victory in the Orange Bowl for Coach Red Drew.
