  Score: 27-37
Alabama vs. Oklahoma After a dreadful first half against the #2 Sooners, the Tide would dominate the second half and eventually take a 27-23 fourth quarter lead. However, two late Oklahoma touchdowns resulted in a 37-27 loss for the Tide on the road in Norman. After Bama recovered an onside kick to start the game, Michael Ziifle would hit a 45 yard field goal to give the Tide its only first half points. Bama would come out of the locker room as a different team, and score a pair of third quarter touchdowns on a 4 yard Ahmaad Galloway run and on a blocked punt that was returned 8 yards to the house by Lance Taylor. In the fourth, Lane Bearden would score a touchdown on a fake field goal from the 3 and Ziifle would hit a 45 yard field goal to close the Tide's scoring. Bama's defense was amazing in only allowing the Sooners to minus 23 yards rushing for the game. The 2002 squad would finish the season with a record of 10-3 for coach Dennis Franchione in his final season at the Capstone.
