  Alabama vs. Vanderbilt In a game where it was actually closer than the score indicates, Alabama was able to defeat Vandy by a score of 28-10. Ahmaad Galloway would score Bama's first points with his 79 yard touchdown run in the first, and Neal Thomas's 50 yard, second quarter field goal put the Tide up 10-7 at the half. Bama would not score again until Tyler Watts would score a touchdown on a 9 yard run in the fourth. Brandon Miree would also score on a 41 yard touchdown run, and Vandy would also allow two safeties to close the game. For the game, Galloway would rush for 172 yards and a touchdown. The 2000 squad would finish the season with a record of 3-8 in Mike Dubose's final season as head coach of the Tide.
