D.V. Graves, a Missouri alumnus, began his four-year Alabama career as head coach with a 5-2-2 team. Two of the stars of the team were Charlie Joplin, who would later be killed in France during World War I, and Adrian VandeGraaf, the first of the famous brother trio who starred for Bama in the Graves' era. |
