In the final year of the 1920s, Alabama's team finished with a 6-3record and two players, tackle Fred Sington and back Tony Holm, earned All-American recognition.
When Alabama hosted Ole Miss October 5, 1929, the new Denny Stadium was officially christened as the modern football facility. Governor Bibb Graves dedicated the stadium to University President George Denny and the Tide squad went on to win a 22-7 decision.
Alabama finished the Roaring Twenties with a combined record of 72-21-6. |
